Went in to post parcel. No queue (2.45pm Wednesday). Didn't have postcode. Was informed that parcel could not be sent without it (???????). Staff couldnt find it on their syatem. Possible recipricent not answering phone. Staff member suggested I come back when I had postcode. After a few minutes more I suggested she call supervisor. Only one manager in and she's in a meeting. Quote- I'm a customer go and get her. - seconds later the manager was there, smiley face, had found my postcode, everything sorted, no problem,
Conclusion- quite happy, however, should absolutely not have been asked to come back later, staff should have tried harder no matter how busy - which they weren't. When I ask to see a manager coz no-one else can help me, I'm not interested in whether she's in a meeting or not. This sort of basic problem should not need a manager. In closing, can you imagine just how bad this review would be without a bright, competent and customer focused manager?
