We love this hotel. The rooms are always stylish, comfy and quiet. We upgraded to a junior suite as part of a spa break. We enjoyed our treatments, the views and the hot tub.

I booked the Mal Club room which was a nice size and had good city views. I've also stayed at their sister hotel, Hotel du Vin. The spec isn't as grand as the latter but for what I paid in terms of room size, I would choose the Mal Club over the duluxe suit at HDV. The bar area is nice and the staff are friendly and professional and very chatty which was nice as I am a solo traveller. The only disappointment is the continental breakfast which wasn't great.

This remains the most consistent experience in the city. Anything from coffee at the Starbucks to staying for a week and you'll find the staff attentive and friendly and always professional. The spa has a lot of room for improvement but it's the staff turnover and not the facilities.

This place has gone downhill. Checkout times are now earlier and even if you have breakfast booked - they charge you extra for hot breakfast! I used to stay here a lot for work, but overall the quality and the 'uniqueness this hotel had is no longer sadly there....

I really like this hotel, it is amazing when me and my partner stay when he has a business trip. However, I wouldn't recommend upgrading to a club room as there isn't really any extra that you recieve than if you had just stayed in a normal room. The major positives for this hotel is there is a free spa area with a sauna, jacuzzi and steam room which is very relaxing. I also get breakfast every time I stay here as the options for the buffet are amazing and the hot chocolates are so tasty, overall it is a great experience but only just lost the one star due to the club room not really being worth the extra money.

Very conveniently locate; a 5-min walk from New Street Station. Nice spacious rooms, but as all Malmaison hotels the rooms tend to lack enough lighting and are too dark for my taste, especially if you are staying for work and intend to work in the room in the evening.

I stayed last night with my friend celebrating a special birthday. We booked the girls night package and every was fabulous! Our SPA treatments were wonderful and we felt ao relaxed after. Will definitely get longer/more treatments next time. The food was perfect! Fantastic service cocktails were delicious and the dessert was heaven. Exactly the same for breakfast and so much to eat and again the service was lovely! The room was impressive, great view of Birmingham City Centre and impeccably clean! From the comfy beds to lovely shower everything was just on point! I will absolutely be recommending the Malmaison to my friends and family and we will be back. Thank you
