One of the best meals I recall. Haggis balls for starters - rich, meaty, unctuous. Rabbit in mustard sauce for main - rich but not cloying, meat very tender, and amazing mashed potatoes. Great atmosphere and service - great experience.

Place is beautiful and not pricey. Food is not good and small portions. It is a bad effort to mimic a gourmet restaurant. Lentils are cooked in a very simple way that you can get at any basic place. Chicken tasted like it was cooked the day before and was fried again. There are places that can offer great food nearby at the same price. Try Makars

Visited twice during my five days in Edinburgh, once for dinner and the second for lunch. Very busy so booking is strongly advised. Others were turned away. The food was brilliant on both occasions. I couldn't fault it especially their Sticky Toffee Pudding. It's a gorgeous restaurant on Victoria Street. Modern yet cozy. The staff are friendly and service good despite being rushed off their feet. Couldn't fault it and would book again if I'm back in Edinburgh.

Really wonderful. The burger was spiced so well. Portions are large and my server Marilyn was lovely. You can tell she loves her job. We were expecting it to be touristy because of the location but it really was spectacular. Thank you! One note, the hours are wrong on google, it doesn't actually close at 14:30 and reopen, seems to just be open all the way through dinner now
