What a gem of a place! We love it here. Small but perfectly formed, it’s got loads for young children to do, informative staff, a great range of activities and a lovely cafe. What’s not to like?Totally awesome. The Cornish beam engines are amazing Giants. Go on the last weekend of the month when they have steam up and you might see one of the Giants actually working. Just amazing.

Really great place to look at steam water pumps and watch them working. On-site miniature railway, that takes you around the yard and an on-site cafe and gift shop. It's a reasonably small place, can't necessarily spend all day there, but definitely a good place to visit for a few hours.

Friendly welcoming staff, plenty of buttons and knobs for the kids to press. Buying one ticket means you can use it for one year following so a bargain. Plenty of parking. Outdoor water play, so take aprons for children to put over clothes. Highly recommended.
