Nice, but the room was in need of some TLC. Walls were quite badly marked, with a hole over the window. Walked in and the shower tap was broken and left on the side, so we had to call maintenance. Then it looked like this had sidetracked cleaner because whilst the bedroom was clean, the bathroom wasn't ... toothpaste in sink, shower screen dirty and some hair in the loo! The bath was chipped in two places, the shower head holder was cracked and the mirror was cracked in the corner and sellotaped. Not really the quality I'd expect for the amount of money we paid. Restaurant food was amazing, but service was pretty poor. Long wait times on drinks, probably because guests from the wedding in the function room were coming to the bar and being served before diners. Food was quite a wait too, but we enjoyed it when it came. Ambiance was odd too... no music in the restaurant, so you could just overhear the wedding down the hall. Overall we had a nice stay, but it was a lot of money for the quality of room that we got. Probably wouldn't rush to go back, unless it was part of a spa package (from previous visits, the spa is lovely).

Spa Day Classic Weekday. We booked the half day package, which provided access to the spa and main swimming pool, plus a buffet lunch. Great value. Lunch was very nice, with both hot and cold options. The spa has everything you would expect, although a little on the small side. The main pool is a good size and even had lanes for those wanting to do lengths. Robes, towel and flip flops provided. Staff were all very welcoming. Would definitely recommend and revisit if in the area.

Really beautiful location for this resort, where our room overlooked some nice fields. The hotel was lovely and the food was excellent, though the staff are what really made the experience great. Though many of them lacked experience - which led to some hilarious circumstances - they all approached their job with enthusiasm and curiosity. I commend their efforts and really making our stay memorable.

My friend and I booked the Lion Quay Getaway....and we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent, the staff couldn't do enough for us, the room was comfortable with everything we needed. A huge thank you to Kayleigh who gave me my massage. I nearly fell asleep it was so relaxing. That definitely hit the spot. Overall an outstanding mini break. Thank you.

I think this place is great but the only thing letting them down is the check-in. I'm not going to absolutely slate the place as it was busy, I think this place would get 5 stars if it wasn't for that. The food is unreal and their selection of beverages is quite extensive. The spa has selected time slots if you wish to go with children but my kids still loved it all the same. I'd definitely go again.
