Incredible hotel and spa located in the outstanding Lake District! Attention to detail is their motto. I couldn’t feel more welcomed and pampered, their staff is simply lovely, a big shout-out to the breakfast tall blond waitress (cannot remember her name) for making us feel at home. As well the girls from the Spa - highly professional and constantly aware of your needs. You do need to visit!

4/ 5

We visited the hotel for 3 nights immediately after some of the covid restrictions had been removed. The open plan hotel was fine, we had a very comfortable Signature room. We were also very fortunate with the weather, with a couple of rare mostly sunny days, We did visit the Stoves restaurant for one evening meal and two breakfasts. Unfortunately the experience was not great, a number of mistakes being made by the staff who seemed a bit ring-rusty after the long break.(Missing cutlery, partly missing meals, a long time to be served from the bar, everyone rushing round). Also the swimming pool attended on the first night by my other half was, in her opinion, much too crowded at the time she went and she chose not to repeat the experience. That apart, all the staff I came into contact with, were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and despite one or two, (hopefully temporary) negatives would be very happy for a return visit sometime in the future,
