Made an appointment to try wigs as I was due to start chemo. Louise was lovely and I chose 4 wigs, was told they would be ordered and would take 1-2 weeks to arrive then someone would phone me to arrange an appointment for me to try them. Four weeks passed and no one phoned so I called them, was told someone would call me back but no one did. I phoned again a week later, same thing. Phoned again a week later and was told one wig had been discontinued and there was another one in stock. So out of four wigs they had managed to get only one and no one had phoned to let me know. No apology. I asked them to return my prescription so I could go elsewhere but I'm still waiting. My hair is now falling out so I have no hair, no wig, no prescription and I'm so fatigued with chemo I have no energy to go elsewhere. This is a really distressing situation to be in. Really, really, really poor service and absolutely no apology, totally not bothered on the phone. There are other wig shops in Edinburgh that cater for cancer patients and they certainly can't be worse than L A Hair Solutions. *** Update *** After one week of waiting for my prescription to be returned I phoned again and was told the prescription had not been sent! I asked why and was told that the manager was away and no-one else was allowed to post anything except the manager (?) So they were waiting for the manager to return and post my prescription. I reminded them that I had started chemo and that I had no hair, no wig and no prescription and asked if they thought it was OK to keep my prescription for a week. The woman replied that she just did what she was told. The prescription eventually arrived with a compliments slip from Lynn Barton, owner, saying 'apologies for any inconvenience'. Avoid this business, they really have no idea.
