Made an appointment to try wigs as I was due to start chemo. Louise was lovely and I chose 4 wigs, was told they would be ordered and would take 1-2 weeks to arrive then someone would phone me to arrange an appointment for me to try them. Four weeks passed and no one phoned so I called them, was told someone would call me back but no one did. I phoned again a week later, same thing. Phoned again a week later and was told one wig had been discontinued and there was another one in stock. So out of four wigs they had managed to get only one and no one had phoned to let me know. No apology. I asked them to return my prescription so I could go elsewhere but I'm still waiting. My hair is now falling out so I have no hair, no wig, no prescription and I'm so fatigued with chemo I have no energy to go elsewhere. This is a really distressing situation to be in. Really, really, really poor service and absolutely no apology, totally not bothered on the phone. There are other wig shops in Edinburgh that cater for cancer patients and they certainly can't be worse than L A Hair Solutions. *** Update *** After one week of waiting for my prescription to be returned I phoned again and was told the prescription had not been sent! I asked why and was told that the manager was away and no-one else was allowed to post anything except the manager (?) So they were waiting for the manager to return and post my prescription. I reminded them that I had started chemo and that I had no hair, no wig and no prescription and asked if they thought it was OK to keep my prescription for a week. The woman replied that she just did what she was told. The prescription eventually arrived with a compliments slip from Lynn Barton, owner, saying 'apologies for any inconvenience'. Avoid this business, they really have no idea.

Such a rip off ! Louise was supposed to made my highlights but i ended up with NO change whatsoever just with waves on my hair, I paid that day £60. (and not to mention she kept me there for about 3 hours or more!l) Obviously the work i paid for wasn't finished that day so i called to made another appointment but she said i'd have to pay again for the highlights when i already had paid for it .... then over the phone she continuosly changed the prices for the service, she barely allowed me to speak so i ended up canceling the appointment ... very unfair and dessapointing. Definitly not recommended... avoid it.

My mum, who is elderly, is going through her first experience of chemo, and has found the whole journey so far very daunting and stressful. She had an appointment with Sarah at L A Hair Solutions today. Sarah quickly put my mum at ease, and took her time, helping my mum in every way she could. I really felt she went over and above in terms of customer service. We were lucky enough that a suitable wig was in stock and could take it away today. Massive thanks to Lynn and Sarah for doing what they could to make this as quick and stress free an experience for my mum as they possibly could.

Wish I had read these before I went. Lost may hair due to chemo. Went for my appointment, although staff friendly, came home with a wig that doesn't suit me. Felt pressure into taking one, only got the choice of 2 to begin with. Maybe if staff asked to see a photo of the person before they lost their hair, then maybe would find a better match. Basically came home and threw it in the corner of my room, where it has stayed since. Waste of NHS money

La hair solutions is a very professional hair loss treatment service who cover a wide variety of different things i highly recommended even just for a blow dry !

Never before have I ever experienced such jaw dropping arrogance, they were so incredibly rude to by wife and tried to ripp her off, luckily we didn't buy the wig and went elsewhere. We should have read these reviews first.
