I only stayed here for one night, last night and even then I arrived at 6 PM and checked out at 7 AM, since all I did was sleep I can only review it on that side, anyways for one night it was alright, however wouldn't suggest staying here for any longer then a night, I know it's not a hotel but everything just seemed very basic, the floor around the toilet was very dirty and I didn't overall sleep very well, kept on waking up as I found the pillows uncomfortable. Also, location wise, unless you are doing something in the stockport area, it isn't in the best of locations, I stayed here for a Manchester United game, once again something that will affect my stay as it was quite far away and the only place to stay I could get at such short notice, anyways it had barely anything around it apart from houses and a few shops.

A wee bit tired in terms of the room especially the shower room. The hotel doesn't have a lift and the stair case is tiny. Lot of noise during the night with people coming and going on the squeaky floors, probably fine if u r a deep sleeper. Staff were very nice though.

The bad things: Broken cold tap in the bathroom, missing / broken safety bar on the room door, cheap plastic toilet seat, faint smell of cigarette smoke, a general 'grubby' appearance in the bathroom (although I'm pretty certain it was clean). The hotel side of this place is just tired now - it needs a good refurbishment, decorating, and fixtures & fittings updated. I also was not told that there would be no hot breakfast on my first morning there when I booked OR when I checked in - I had to find out after going down to breakfast in anticipation of a good fry-up type breakfast. The good things: Staff (especially the cleaning staff) friendly and helpful. It's a short walk to the the restaurant if you like the Miller & Carter Steakhouse I'm familiar with it as I've stayed there a few times (each time, unfortunately, progressively a worse stay) Easy to get to Stockport or Manchester from hotel.

Staff were so helpful. Great location. Cosy room. Few problems with room was sorted quickly by friendly staff. Only other negative was value for money. Feel that £92 for a double room was excessive as we also had to pay over £20 for 2 breakfasts. Not worth over £110 for bed and breakfast. Having said that, English breakfast was enjoyable.

Overpriced hotel that should include breakfast if wanting to justify fee. Staff seemed rushed and did not ask how our stay was. So I'll share here... Hard bed, cold room, curtains to floor that cover radiator so no heat into room. Shower was really bad, needs instructions as the temperature was instantly scalding if you get the dial wrong. Grout black in places. No water or glasses. On a positive note, free parking and ideal location for our stay.
