We took our daughters to a Disney princess party and they had a wonderful time. The hall is beautiful, very old and Grand and was the perfect setting for the party. Big fireplaces, high ceilings, wooden floors. I felt like the Lord of the manor. All I needed was a pipe, a dressing gown and some slippers.

It's not Blenhiem and it's not Chatsworth. But after generations of neglect and worse this swan is finally sailing again...some glorious rooms, staircase, history surroundings , folly. The Friends of Heaton can be so proud as it starts on some major refurbishment that the public will never see. WELL DONE Wonderful day out. The sun and blue sky helped.
