Terrible service - If you are looking to purchase a property, receive responses to emails, talk to someone on the phone about the case, use the online message service, receive confirmation that your payment has been received or anything very basic you would usually expect from a solicitor... this is not the company to use. It took weeks to actually talk to someone on the phone!! It was not GW legal's fault our purchase did not reach completion but I feel even if we were able to overcome some of the issue with our deal, GW legal will not have been able to get us across the line or at least delayed us months and months. I have had to repeat myself to several people about our case over 3-4 months for the information to still not be understood. Write it down guys!! When I did get through to our solicitor she did take time to speak to us but why so rare? Overall really disappointed and wouldn't recommend to anyone looking for a smooth process. If you are taking on too much work this will have an effect on the service. It feels like this is the case.

Fantastic service from the beginning to completion. We couldn’t thank Tara and Julie enough for their professionalism, determination, patience, effective and frequent communication and just generally being a pleasure to deal with and down to earth. A Highly recommended service.

Unreal! My question was - do my previous lenders "legally" have to provide a statement of accounts for me if i request it? Answer - you would have to ask the lender that question. To which i explained, you are the legal experts, not me and not my lender, so is this a legal thing where they "have" to provide this to me Again the reply was they do not know and to ask the lender Better just banging my head against the wall!!

If you are looking for a solicitor who offers a personal service & cares about their clients then GW Legal are a company I would suggest avoiding like the plague! Calls are never taken, answerphone messages are never returned & emails are ignored. At the time of writing this company has a 3.1 Google rating & I am surprised it is even that high....

Dealt with this form on a recent sale, it would be safe to say they were nothing short of awful. Did not return one single phone call or email in 6 months, Very slow at responding to the other solicitors. In 20 Years of being in the industry I can’t believe I have come across a firm as bad as this one. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Avoid this company if you actually want to sell your house. Dreadful communication, never replied to my emails or my estate agent’s emails. Didn’t chase outstanding items from 3rd parties. I ended up doing most of the chasing myself to make sure the sale went through on time. I think it’s luck of the draw in terms of who deals with your case as I had one excellent experience with them in the past.
