I struggled with education throughout high school and college however the educational format used at Futureworks benefited me greatly, you're treated like an adult and although later on in the course you are expected to do some self learning I found this a very useful experience on exactly what I can do when I put my mind to it. The tutors were always helpful and understanding, although the amount of time we spend in classes with tutors I felt couldve have been a bit better, though the tutors I did have genuinely cared about my progression and were actual Human Beings as opposed to the teachers I have encountered in every other educational form I've attended. Don't be dissuaded by the negative review(s) people have left, as a former student reading them gives me the impression that they wanted someone to hold their hand throughout the course and tell them exactly what to do at all times which is not the case, as you are given a lot of autonomy to do what you feel is your passion (As is my experience) which can be both a good and a bad thing, it means you get out as much as you put in.

I love this uni, about as much as I hate it. I appreciate the small classes in that it's great for getting individual advice and, most of the tutors at least, reply to your emails if you have any questions. However, the small classes also disadvantage students coming from abroad as it's harder to make friends. I feel like if the uni was located on the Preston campus, this wouldn't be such an issue.

Studying here is honestly the best decision I've ever made. I've learnt so many valuable skills, met some wonderful people and the tutors are amazing. It's felt more like an apprenticeship than a degree and they've presented me with so many opportunities that I will be forever grateful for. I've enjoyed every second of my time there.

I've been here for almost 6 years across 2 courses, the staff are all very experienced in their respective fields and are all always willing to help bring you up to their level of skill. The university offers a lot of high-quality equipment for games, audio, film, TV, and radio and will lead to great opportunities for careers.

Great facilities available to all students, quick and helpful support from lecturers and a great way to prepare for your post graduation career. Small in scale so its super easy to communicate with lecturers/support and also collaborate with other students on projects :) Love my time here and can't wait for third year

The university was an amazing help to me as a student it pushed me to keep trying my hardest, the staff were very supportive from the Student Services to the tutors who encouraged me and gave me great feedback for my work. They've also adapted themselves well to the Covid-19 situation allowing students to have online classes but will be able to see tutors with social distancing measures put in. I can not thank them enough for the 3 years of support they have given me.
