If you need it they will help. Always my go to place for DIY and Chandler's items. Helpful staff who are knowledgeable and reasonable prices. There's a reason The Flying Dutchman has been well known in Wallasey for many years.

Doesn't seem to stock as many bits and bobs as they used to but they mostly have what I need to avoid going to B&Q. Great range of coal and fire stuff for when I go bothying though 👍.

CALOR GAS. I searched for two days for a 6k Calor gas bottle. (Red) Visited nearly every outlet on the Wirral including Ellesmere Port. There's apparently a delivery shortage. Eventually found it here at The Flying Dutchman. I had a cylinder to exchange but no one had the 6k size I wanted. WARNING. Before you next buy a BBQ or Patio heater, make sure you have a gas bottle to exchange because the rules are, NO ONE will sell you a full gas bottle of any size without one to exchange. It's a 'like for like' exchange only but that's only if they have them in stock and very few do. Wirral Gas, Cambletown Road, Tranmere. The main CALOR retailer, is now closed to the public. On line exchange only. It's a nightmare! Thank you Flying Dutchman you saved my bacon.
