Bit of cheesy/pop classics and some 80s music. Not too packed but the drinks are incredibly expensive for what it is. A pint in a flimsy plastic cup will set you back almost £5. The venue itself seemed okay though with a light up dance floor. But it really shouldn't be this expensive for something basically in a back alley behind much cheaper clubs. Theres no sort of "premium" vibe to justify it either. Won't be returning.

Brilliant place love it so much here never gets too packed like a train either and drinks are cheap. Music is fantastic too.

It's okay. The drinks are moderately priced and the music is fairly alright but nothing special. It's a good place to go if you fancy a boogie as they have a light up dance floor, but other than that it's pretty average for a club.

It's terrible but that's what we like about it.

Best nightclub in York and the manager is the best!

Manager Jack made sure we had a great night for my friend’s 21st birthday. Musics good, drinks are decently priced and all staff were lovely. Feels like a very safe space to have a night out. Good vibes.

Always a good night in Flares. Teddy is such a great bar tender, always love seeing him, and always serves with a smile. Feel safe when I know he is working! Generally Flares York has a very happy and good vibe

Literally the worst place ever! Super rude staff!! One of the guard inside was really polite and said that he could take care of my drink if I am going out. When I came back the staff outside (named- Rachel) didn't let me in- even when the other staff confirmed that I went out and I was ready to show an ID again. I was still refused an entry. It went on for about 10-15 min at which point the lady started shouting as well and was not ready to listen.

Great music and a great atmosphere. Would recommend everyone to try

We were on the queue for 20 min and the security person checked our IDs. One of us had a digital ID card and there was no problem. After two of us got in (girls) we couldn’t go in (two guys) because one had a digital ID. It was very unprofessional to let us go through and then stopping us from paying entry fee because of the digital ID. Very confusing and annoying.
