I got braids but in and I am so happy with them! They are very neatly put in and I felt so comfortable and looked after. The lady was lovely and professional. Would highly recommend.

The salon owner has been looking after my hair for nearly 2 years. She has really nurtured my relaxed hair fantastically. It is now the longest and thickest it's ever been. Her prices represent excellent value for money. I would recommend this salon to anyone with thick african hair. The salon is a Godsend!

A lovely place

First day I attended this shop I was told I was no able to be seen because the woman had double booked herself, this should have been my first indicator not to return. After this I went and got my hair done in cornrows and the style was far too tight to the point I had to remove them within 4 days of having them installed, I spoke with the owner about this and she told me to wait longer then come back and get them done again and that she would install them less tight so they wouldn’t cause inflamed follicles. Long story short I’m now trying to pursue a refund because the same situation has happened again but only worse this time and I have read all over the internet that if this happens with your hair follicles to remove the braids immediately or to have them loosened. I asked the owner to loosen them and her answer was no she told me that there are no two ways about it and basically is making me out to be some sort of drama queen when I have stressed that I am in so much discomfort that I am unable to rest comfortably at night, the owner just argued with me saying I am the only person who says this and they do 2 year olds who moan less (what a nice way to be spoken to by a company who needs customers) don’t go here

I have been to Estate Salon on three separate occasions. During all appointments, I have left the salon disappointed. The service is drastically overpriced with a mediocre service delivery. I have received braids (ghana braids, box braids, and a braid up-do) and each hair style has been sloppy with bumps in braids where extensions have been added for thickness or crooked parts due to carelessness and laziness. I thought that perhaps my experience was a one-off and decided to continue going to Estate Salon, but now after 3 appointments with the same experience, I can confidently state that the proprietor is a pedestrian hair stylist and you will not receive quality braids for the price that you are expected to pay. In addition to the poor hair styling skills of the proprietor, every appointments that I have attended has been on average 20 minutes late. I was made to feel like my time is not respected and valued. Finally, the shop is freezing inside because the proprieter does not turn on the heating; I have had to wear my winter jacket to hair appointments just to tolerate the biting cold from sitting inside the poorly insulated space. In sum, you're better off finding another salon and not spending your money at Estate Salon. Hopefully my experience and public review will save someone the disappointment of consistently below-average service.
