I bought 2 single tickets by self tickets machine in Edge Hill Station. I paid for them, but the machine didn't give me the tickets. I had to buy 2 tickets again in the office and I tried to take my money back with no luck. I want my money!!!¡ I feel robbed by this company.

Tried to get a train home to Wavertree Technology Station at 5.30 pm today, Thursday 15/11/18. What a big mistake!!! The first thing I noticed was no electronic board showing arrival of trains at what platforms. In the case of Edge Hill at least 5 to choose from!! Looking at the written display boards I could only see details of in bound trains. After 3 people asked me the same question I was asking myself, IE - Am I on the right platform for my train? I became really worried, and after waiting 30 mins decided to leave and got a taxi home.

Very rude man in ticket office. 1st day in area, 1st time in station going to Manchester, 6.15 am, pitch black, no signs to say which platform is which, no electronic display signs to announce destination of trains, so I could work out which platform I needed for myself. Man on phone in ticket office, chatting. When asked which platform do I need he sweeps his arm in front of him 'round there' whilst still chatting. I go 'round there' and only find a padlocked Gate - perhaps he means go back to the road and there's another entrance on the other side of the road?? Worried I'd miss my train, I go back in 'where sorry?'. 'ROUND THERE!! (Throwing arms wildly around whilst still chatting). I go back outside in pitch black certain I'd miss my train. A lovely customer came past and gave me the directions I needed because the gate the guard was trying to get me to use was padlocked. Apparently, an alternative route was round the back of the office. Perhaps you could have signposts or electronic signs if you can't find helpful (or pleasant) staff?

The oldest continually running passenger station in the world! And wouldn't you know it. There are no information screens and no messages over the PA system so make sure you've already researched which platform you need for your train.
