I have tried so many other gyms in Manchester / Trafford over the years and have always gone back to DW Trafford. I love this gym. I have just seen the notice this gym is to close down. I'm absolutely gutted, I hope something changes. Its not the most up-to-date gym but for me it's perfect. Fingers crossed its relocated close by or stays open.

Where to start... Toilets - Disgusting not cleaned properly not fixed to the floor and as with today over flowing with urine and water pouring over the urinal on to the floor. Razor blades left lying around when kids are present for swimming lessons and chewing gum stuck to the floor is left for days on end. Showers - Rarely consistent, hot one minute cold the next, pressure one minute watering can the next, bottles everywhere chewing gum and again razors left tucked behind the shampoo and shower gel dispensers which are never hung on the wall properly. Management - Hands are tied by head office budgets but previous management has ran the place much better than the current missing in action GM. Even when he is present you wish he wasn't. I raised an issue about a machine wobbling from side to side when I was using it, his response was maybe it was me wobbling not the machine. Equipment - Dated broken and rarely cleaned properly, repairs are shocking take 6 to 8 weeks to fix one handle and they have to have 5 pieces of equipment down before they even get anyone to begin looking at it. The place is an absolute shambles at the minute. Some of the staff are brilliant and it's not their fault but as for the club manager, and way the place is ran overall you'd be better finding somewhere else cleaner more hygienic and with newer safer equipment that doesn't break down every 6 months if not less. Run,run for your lives!! Sadly me and other members are locked in and can't escape due to our friends attending for years and the location being ideal for many reasons. Rant over for now!!!🤬

Very very poor customer service, shift management bad attitude, Val doesn't know meaning of Good morning, no greeting whatsoever, Scott just power crazy not a care about any member that pays towards his salary, pool good, jacuzzi and steam inconsistent, showers a disgrace it's not a surprise they are losing members every week. Best thing I did was join Virgin active at Lowry its luxury on same level as David Lloyd. Very satisfied at Virgin fitness a bit out of the way for work, it's all about standards and customer service.

absolutely love my gym. Do not agree with a single one of the reviews. The gym is fantastic. Well equipped and always space even when busy. The classes are great and plenty to choose from. The staff are very helpful and friendly and never fail to say hello and goodbye when you come in and out of reception. I wouldn’t change my gym.

Would definitely not recommend this club as the building is not the best, showers are always cold. Promise of an upgrade to the club and this has not happened the hot tub not always working, the locker rooms are absolutely filthy with more broken lockers. You make a complaint about the hot water, and all you get is it’s being fixed. NO flexibility on T&C all about collecting your fees. Would think twice. Sending my information to BBC watch dog as it’s shocking.
