This used to a superb place but since Dr Astles has announced its retirement. I tried to book an appointment and told he was not available. I said when will he be available? I got the answer indefinitely. I sat contemplating wot to do? I then saw a woman approach reception and she asked to see Dr Astles, she was given an appointment. I then approached the receptionist and she looked sheepishly and funny thing is the women and been a time and I had been given the same date and time! This practice has gone down incredibly quickly. Dr Astles is a really nice GP, but one feels when he has left , really left , and the receptionists, don,t act like bouncers I will leave. What a shame. I told my consultants and the pharmacist about the above and they were horrified. I noted that you are given an appointment the next day for a flu jab. Doing the research as to why it is practically impossible to get an appointment for other more pressing issues you have to book at least 2 -3 weeks in advance but they get paid to administer the flu jab. When you understand the number of flu jabs they undertake @£7.64 per jab.
