Beautiful place... Nice breakfast... excellent customer service during check-in & breakfast... and exceptional staff called Peter offered to take our luggage upstairs even when we could manage on our own. His willingness to help was amazing. Highly recommended.

5/ 5

I was recently in the area and looking for something to do in the evening. I was not a guest at this hotel but saw that they had something called Club Motivation and decided that it was going to be a Club night! The club was a very clean and friendly atmosphere but full of exercise equipment and no bar. So I thought I would see what else there was. I found the hotel did indeed have a bar! Very clean, everything looked new. The staff was extremely friendly and professional and amazingly tolerant of an American showing up in their bar! (Even i know how obnoxious we can be) Excellent drink options that were both delicious and well presented. (Pretty) The drinks did not come with cute little umbrellas but they made up for it with the personality of the staff!! I can't remember who served me but it was something like Penelope or shaniqua or Kristy or some exotic name like that. Overall an excellent experience and I highly recommend the place. One last note that might be helpful to any Americans traveling overseas. Everyone there seemed to speak fluent English so communication was easy. 🙂 I hope you find this review helpful and I highly recommend stopping in for a drink.

As usual, DoubleTree Hilton never fails to Impress. This is our first stay at a DoubleTree in England and the service was very good. Staff were friendly and approachable, especially the lady who seated us every morning at breakfast. Easy check-in/out. A lot of noise on our 3 nights but we were pre-warned about this as there was a wedding and a prom being held there on that particular weekend. We used the hotel as a base for our weekend at Alton Towers which was perfect. Plenty of restaurants around to eat out. Hotel is in a great location getting on/off the motorway.

Made to feel extremely welcome on and during my stay, loved the newly renovated rooms and public areas. Some more snagging needed and housekeeping needs to ensure 'Hilton Clean Stay' is delivered. Happy to return again soon.
