This is a charity shop devoted to books and has a pretty good selection.

Great selection of stuff

Wandered in to an empty shop to find the assistant behind the counter scanning bar codes of books....I stood in front of him waiting for him to finish and acknowledge my presence........nothing......after a few more seconds a polite cough........nothing...........After a polite hello he begrudgingly turns to face me....not a word......I ask if its possible to search for books in stock on his computer as it seems he's adding new stock to a database.......glasses come down the nose as he looks over them and simple states "you're looking for Waterstones" and turned away......guess where i went to purchase my books........

An excellent charity shop, with a good selection of books, records, CDs, DVDs and more. Staff are always happy to help and very friendly.

Great idea to have a Dorothy House shop that concentrates on books. For a charity shop it is reasonably well laid out and you can locate the occasional great find. Still, it's a charity shop so the selection is a bit hit and miss.

A great collection of vinyl. Well organised, goods condition and fairly priced. There are two record players in the corner if you want to check the records.

Lots of good quality secondhand books covering most comprehensive range of genres. Almost all books are cheap - rare ones being the exception. A lovely shop to go for a browse - and come out having bought a book you want at a budget price. And your money goes to a very good local cause.

Lovely place specialising in books, with an assortment of vinyl and cds at the back. great for browsing, well stocked and sensible prices.
