A very interesting little place that I have returned to several times. There is plenty of seating outdoors opposite the market as well as downstairs in their cosy basement. The ceilings are a little low, so mind your head as you walk around if you are tall! A little cramped but with a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend their breakfast, probably the best I have tried in Cambridge. They also have a great lunch offer, perfect to grab something tasty and get off your feet

If you're a lover of the whole Italian dining experience, then this is, in my opinion the best you'll find in Cambridge, Don Pasquale, has been serving delicious Italian cuisine for 60 years, I went back yesterday after 20 years and the food hasn't changed ,it's still expertly cooked and kindly served. The kitchen is open to see, the standards are high. If I could give a Michelin star I would. We take our hats off to the family for maintaining this part of Italy they bring to us, Thank you.

Be warned. Bad service, the first waiter could not be bothered to seat us even though we were next to a vacant table. No reason given. It took a long time for anyone to come to take our order. Drinks came without ice so we asked about never received. Food quite good and plentiful but the tomato salad was very basic. When it came to paying, no bill. You take a scrap of paper to the till, they put it in and give the price. No printout to check things are in order. Service was automatically added at 10%. I asked for it to be removed and suddenly the staff became hostile and confrontational. Probably the most aggressive Italians I have ever encountered. Highly recommended if you want stroppy Italians, bad service, unwarranted service charge and confrontation.

Went here for breakfast yesterday morning and we were seated in the basement eating area. Lovely staff and good food , however a couple bought their collie cross dog in which the restaurant allows. Dog sniffed around the top of our table and around my husband when the irresponsible owner decided to take it off it's lead.I don't want an animal putting its snout on my table where my food is whilst I am eating especially when dogs spend half their life licking their private parts. Most off putting and unhygienic!

5/ 5

Yesterday and by chance my Girlfriend and I stumbled upon this quaint Restaurant and felt very luck that the previous place we'd popped into were out of seating which meant a 20 minutes wait in the cold; with two kids, that was not going to be an option. 2 minutets later we were being seated downstairs at Don Pasquale for Lunch. Without asking, water and glasses were brought to the table and we had the menus in our hands. the restaurant was almost at capacity but their efficiency was slick even removing the empty bottles of coke without us noticing after the drinks had been ordered. They brought childrens menus but as shown, they were really aimed at 9 years and under. So after about 10 minutes we made our order of 1 single main and two mains from the special offers menu (2 course or 3 course) 1 pizza was shared between the kids and they brought out an extra plate. Some places will charge for this but not here. With no exageration the meal was with us in under 10 minutes. Super fast service. I've waiting longer for fish and chips in fast food outlets! we also had dessert and bought Canollis after. So, all in all for two 12" pizzas, A calzone, 4 deserts 4 soft drinks and a bag full of canollis from the bar upstairs including a tip, came in at just under £50. Their service was fantastic; Really welcoming and friendly. The Restaurant itself really does feel like you have left England and are somwhere in the Med with the decore such as it is and it has a really great vibe about the place. It is a classy place, and harkens to a time when quality was found in service, food quality and good manners and not, as seems to be the case these days were quality often seems to be a measurement of how expensive a food can be, how shiny and illumniated the sign can be or how big the chain is around the world, but then, when it comes down to brass tax, the service can be awful and unloyal. Eating here is romantic, homely, friendly, tasty, efficient, fun and wont break the bank. We'll Be back!!
