Demuths Cookery School bath

I've done a number of these courses - mostly the full day and one evening. I've always loved every minute despite my natural incompetence at cookery! When I became a vegetarian I didn't have a clue how to prepare my own tasty nutritious food. I have always come away from the classes more confident in my abilities and with recipes I can use regularly, Check the courses out on the website... whatever food you like there will be a course for it...

I've been on several courses at Demuths Cookery School, including Fast & Delicious, Gujarati Thali, and their cookery holiday in Southern France. Obviously I keep going back for a reason. Great teaching and inspiring recipes, all using plant-based ingredients. Also, the cookery school kitchen is a real pleasure to work in. Lots of space and great lighting, and a lovely view of Bath which is a bonus.

Had the most amazing day!! The chef Matt and the amazing team taught us with humour,care and expertise. The food we made was delicious and will inspire us to do more! Would thoroughly recommend a day at DeMuths!! Thanks guys

Amazing day 1-to-1 with Helen learning to cook South Indian dishes. Helen and Georgia were so friendly and welcoming and I learned lots of new skills. I've never managed to get the flavours just right before - I really never imagined I could produce something so authentic. Really enjoying practising and making sure I don't forget what Helen told me (though it's all written down in a very helpful recipe leaflet too). Thanks so much Helen!

I found the experience very well paced and relaxed, with a great chef and well run kitchen. The food I made wasn't overly complicated and you're left to your imagination how you want to flavour the recipes.

My fiancé and I recently enjoyed Demuths' 'Vegan Fast & Delicious' cookery course with the brilliant chef and teacher Helen and members of her team. From the moment we walked in the door we were struck by how meticulously clean and warmly accommodating the cookery school was. This was particularly reassuring given the strange and anxious time of the pandemic in which we find ourselves. Everything was socially distanced and we were given our own workstations and equipment to use. Helen helped us through a mouthwatering range of recipes from spiced roasted veggie pastries to pea pancakes to raspberry frangipane tarts. Along the way, she provided genius tips to help us hone our knife-skills, create our own sustainable veggie stock from peelings and odds and ends and perfect the perfect tahini dressing. We loved how she encouraged us to think about adapting the recipes using different veg and whatever other staples we might have around the house. She was also mercifully kind when I managed to muddle her instructions and lose my way! Her team were so helpful with cleaning our equipment and workstations and just generally creating a happy and relaxed atmosphere. We lunched on some of our creations and took home bags and bags of cooked food at the end of the day to enjoy for days to come. I would wholeheartedly recommend the course and Demuths to vegans and non-vegans alike looking to inject some colour and flavour into their meals and to get them on the table fast.

Wow, what outstanding customer service! I ordered a Festive Treat Box for my sister who lives in Bath and I have been so impressed by the personalised emails and care from this company. Demuths delivered the box of goodies on foot to her front door to be as environmentally friendly as possible. The box is beautifully presented, crammed full of delicious treats and I was even contacted so that a handwritten message could be included. My sister’s excited voicemail and messages have said this gift is “PERFECT” and “the BEST”. Definitely the pick me up she needed and Demuth have exceeded expectations with the level of service provided. I would highly recommend Demuths to others both for gifts and their cooking classes.
