Ate here with friends. Don't like fixed time tables, but that is just that I don't like getting rushed off my table. Now to the positives. Staff very friendly and helpful, ambiance very nice, food very good. Let's just say I will happily eat here again.

Nice space. Well decorated and seemed right being in a cellar! Helpful staff. Good menu with everything covered. Lots of great things going for it. The food, however, was good but not exceptional. Fine and pleasant but I've had better.

5/ 5

Have been here for many years now in York. We've tried going to different restaurants but we always come back here without fault. Just the best pasta (and dinner) near the centre. The pear pasta is something I get every year, and is always incredible. First time having affogato here and it was so good I now have a set menu for th next 50 years of coming here! Will always return and recommend highly. Try and sit in the alcoves for perfect atmosphere.
