Cumberland Centre plymouth

Used recently for the first time, friendly, helpful staff. Seen quickly (but did attend first thing). Seen by a very experienced nurse with good humour. Good advice and issue resolved quickly thank goodness!

This unit is a credit to the NHS. Brought my partner due to a very sensitive matter, they had the up most respect for her. From the receptionist being very caring and attentive. To the specialst nurse coming outside to speak to her when she was too freaked out to enter the building. They had a 4.5 hour wait but gave her a private room so she never felt uncomfortable and attended to her as quickly as they could. I express enough how amazing their care was from start to finish and completely holistic! Thank you to all the staff today, you have made someone day a little bit better.

A very long time to be seen today at the Cumberland centre. Arrived about 9.30 am told a 2 hour wait, this quickly became a 2.5 hour wait and finally a 5 hour wait. On arrival the receptionist was very helpful and efficient, this was followed by a very long wait to see triage 'Sam' who was very kind, helpful and professional and seemed to be the only one actually seeing patients at a good pace. I understand that they were short staffed today but there seemed to be a lot of time between patients for the sparse practitioners on duty today. Finally after a considerable wait I was seen by 'matron' who was amazingly thorough, efficient and supportive of my injuries and concerns. After examining me I was sent for an x-ray, again like Sam the radiographer was efficient and helpful. Called in again by 'matron' shortly after returning from x-ray, who explained the findings and treatment required. All in all hats off to the receptionist, triage Sam, the radiographer and 'matron'. They seemed to be the only staff working at an acceptable pace to minimise waiting time.

Very efficient and friendly staff some times very busy but only a small a & e.

5 star for Derriford one star for Cumberland center, Need to review their times as on the door says its open till 10pm the internet say 9pm and when we arrived at 8 pm they said that they shut at 7 so then had to drive further with my son in pain when I could have avoided taking him to the Cumberland centre in the first place and the Nurse was quite rude about it too, on the plus side Derriford were very lovely and at least it wasn't serious but could of been a whole lot nastier

Went through the queue just to learn that they cannot consult on the issue (minor bump). Then got threats from staff. Better to go straight to Derriford Hospital a&e

What lovely polite receptionist best l have come across even helped lady to get water from the machine. Health care assistant most friendly manner along with nurse L who gave time and patients with me. People in waiting areas, was very patient waiting to be seen. That says it all very relaxed friendly staff make a big difference from start to finish. Thankyou all for your support today.

Everyone was super lovely and sweet, I was seen soo quickly and Debbie who saw me was an absolute gem:) thank you so much:)

Thank you ,thankyou. My wife and I fetched up on your door 27 12 21. She had burned her leg with hot oil, we had not even sat down the nurse called her name. Many questions later the bandages were off and we were seen by the nurse, photos were taken and sent to deriford hospital. And the leg was re bandaged, the burns unit phoned to say yes you need to be seen in burns clinic. Was given paper work to go to deriford at 0ne 45, did this and got seen by the Dr very quickly, all scrubbed down using gas and air and re bandaged for 5 days got to go back early Jan to see the Dr again in clinic. Can't moan about all staff Dr's and nurses and people we mett today thank you NHS lovely job today.

Nice staff but waiting for a long time.
