The visitor centre is currently closed due to COVID but the site is still well worth s visit. There are plenty of information boards around the place to help you understand the buildings and their uses. There's a nice range of shops. The secondhand book shop was particularly good. If you like old books you'll find it hard not to leave with something!

Lovely place to spend an hour. Nice shops and a very good cafe. Be prepared to wait though due to covid rules. Not brilliant for wheel chairs hence only 4 stars but i guess with buildings of that age they have done their best.

We really enjoyed our visit to Cromford Mills. The tour was very informative and lasted about an hour. The mills are very well presented and the charity has long term plans for the site. The cafe serves excellent food and drinks. A variety of small retail outlets is also on site. An excellent place to visit

The booking information for the Shine a Light event gives the impression that the Canal Wharf and Model Railway are part of the Mill event, which we are told closes at 10pm. So it made sense to book at 8.30pm for the show, allowing families with younger children to get in early. However, on finishing the show at 9pm, we then find the wharf events are then all closing. The managers there then claim that 'we aren't anything to do with them over there!" So this was a great disappointment.

Classic car (in) classic industrial mill. Got all those Social and Economic History ‘A’ level juices going. A truly fabulous achievement by the people who saved the mill and reinvented it as a mixed use space.

A great place to visit and learn of the Arkwright mill history. The audio guide takes you round the millyard, canal basin, and the village of Cromford and all its history. Very informative and only costs £6. A must if you're in the area!
