The Cosy Club is ideally situated for a nice relaxing breakfast before heading to the shops as its only 2 minutes walk from the Old George Mall. There is a choice of indoor seating or if its warm enough you can sit outside in the courtyard to the rear of the building. Our drinks were brought over promptly and my wife really enjoyed her coffee any I had several cups from my pot of tea. There is a good selection of items on the breakfast menu but I decided to go for the traditional English breakfast. The food arrived quite quickly and although it was tasty the bacon was rather overcooked and the sausage was rather on the small side (although it was very tasty) - I would have thought 2 rashers of bacon would have been more generous. The service was great and the surroundings were comfortable although be aware that people are allowed to take their dogs inside.

Drinks and service are the best. The atmosphere in the bar is super relaxed, which was nice after a long day of sightseeing. I ate the tapas--sausages (yum), pulled chicken and chorizo and the brisket, they were okay. My husband got the lemon and rosemary chicken, super tasty. We tried several of their cocktails. The best was the English Garden and the whiskey sour. Overall, we had a delightful experience!

Stunning place, slightly tucked away but amazing inside. Lots of comfortable seating and a great range of cocktails and other drinks. We only went for drinks but the restaurant also looked nice. I'd definitely head back here again for more cocktails.

Lovely vibe and decor. Very relaxed atmosphere and a menu to suit everybody. Evenings and night time can be rather busy but for a relaxing drink and good food then you can't go far wrong. Cocktails as advertised are really not up to much at all.

Great staff, really friendly and helpful. The recently updated menu is varied. And they have small tapas style dishes which are great for groups. In my opinion the food is overpriced for what it is. However we had a good meal and a good time, so no reap complaints!

Exceptional. All members of staff were lovely and very accommodating, and created a cheerful atmosphere! Great care was taken with regards to allergies, which I do appreciate. The food was faultless, we had the Butcher's breakfast and the smashed avocado on toast. I would 100% go back!

Amusing & entertaining bar with a lively, convivial atmosphere. Friendly staff with good banter. If it means anything to you, there is a reasonable attempt at a 1920's/30's décor. (Personally, the staff need a larger clothing allowance for authentic period clothing. 😉). Food is acceptable, but beware there are no cask ales. More positives than negatives; it's a great place for an evening out. 😁

Edit - If that was the case why were the doors open and the signs out like you were open for business ? Surely if that's the case you close the doors and have signage explaining the soft opening?!?! Walked in wanting a beer to be greeted be an empty pub and two people on the front desk telling us that we needed a reservation and we couldn't just sit and have a drink. Soft opening or not surely the customer comes first and when you are trying to make a good impression telling two weary travellers that you cant have a drink is a massive own goal.
