We held our wedding reception here on Saturday 5th September and it was superb, Steve the general manager helped us plan the day from weeks before and nothing was too much trouble! The setting with views of the bay and the beautiful gardens were the perfect setting, the food was excellent , with couples on socially distances tables each with their own buffet, then socialising on the top patio and drinks in the conservatory and bar. The overnight stay for us and my elderley mother was very comfortable and all the staff were friendly and welcoming especially Tom who over saw the reception and not forgetting the 'singing' chef, our friends had a fab time too, many thanks, Jan and Neil McEwan.

Very well positioned dog-friendly hotel located 5mins walk from the beach ( walking through the lovely landscaped grounds). Staff very friendly & helpful. We visited in July & protocols for social distancing & hygiene were in place & we felt very safe. We would definitely visit again. Many thanks to all the staff you made our stay so enjoyable...

Lovely hotel with nice rooms and facilities. The grounds are beautiful and perfect for evening walks (with or without a dog). The hotel is dog friendly and has a shortcut straight to the beach. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Just out of lockdown the hotel is doing a great job dealing with the new normal. Great staff who were happy to deal with any queries. Very limited menu as you would expect but plenty of restaurant choice in the town if you want it. Beautiful old house with lovely gardens.

Pool is permanently closed despite the description on Google saying it has one. We only discovered this once we arrived as we didn’t book online. Nice location but our room was tired and the bed wasn’t great. Everything was well cleaned though. Breakfast was nice for the continental but the cooked was a bit soggy and the coffee machine was very watered down. Parking was very handy. 3 stars as some aspects were okay but it’s not great for the price you are paying!

Settled into our standard room, which was spacious and spotlessly clean,we were then asked very politely if we could move as the boiler wasn't working correctly, we just expected another standard room but was up graded to a family room with balcony and sea views,I would have still given 5 stars without the move, but certainly over the moon
