To the owner: Your door staff felt the need to ask me whether I was wearing trousers or jogger bottoms (four times) - as they couldn't tell - even when they shone their phone camera on them. They didn't seem to understand that if they couldn't tell - then it wasn't important - and so I spent my money elsewhere. Context: Sober, well spoken and polite, with my partner and courteous enough to finish my takeaway drink before trying to enter.

Love this place! Great for Saturday night drinks and dancing, music always brilliant. If you want some fun, this place is perfect

Best cocktails in Edinburgh. Highly recommend lemon meringue pie cocktail. And they're only 4 pounds from the cheap menu! Burgers are only 5. Were often here on a Tuesday night for the quiz too.

Went to candy bar for some food, nice wee place and chilled it was Sunday afternoon. It is downstairs, food was nice and at such a great price. The tables worth for three people was £29. I will definitely be back there cocktails look amazing!

Candy bar is a nice little bar in the centre of Edinburgh, it has a good Tuesday night quiz and decent service. The food is cheap and you get what you pay for. That being said the cocktails are cheap and strong and usually amazing. If you come in here with high expectations for fine dining and amazing service you will be disappointed what you will find is decent food for good prices and a drink that will knock your socks off.

Great staff and lovely food and cocktails. However we were a party of seven crammed in to a booth for six. Ended up asking for a bar stool so one of us balanced on that while having the meal. We had booked well in advance.

Lovely venue with great staff. Lost a star because the cocktail I ordered was expensive and tiny when it arrived and not how a daiquiri should be. Can't fault anything else though.

Really nice food and staff, and so reasonably priced. Would return without hesitation. Can be difficult in my experience to get a booking though, so would recommend booking way in advance.

Amazing place, the cocktails are lovely along with the staff. It was our wedding anniversary and we got a lovely glass of champagne. Thank you so much 🥂
