It was my daughter's half birthday and I decided to get a cake with some different idea,, other than the half cake. I went to this shop, asked for designs, and started to select. When I didn't get desired design, I requested to one of the staff members to prepare a cake by showing a picture to her. She refused by saying we can't do any design other than our catalogue. I understood, and requested to make a cake by editing one of the designs available in their catalogue, she denied by saying, its not possible to edit ant design. Her attitude was like "buy it or get lost" that was so humiliating. I left the shop and went to *cake shop* near quality foods. After getting such a bad customer service from CakeBox King Street, it was natural that I was not mentally prepared to get any kind of good customer service from any local shop. But unexpectedly, staff of CakeShop provided such a nice service and I appreciated her many times while standing in shop. I can't explain how much satisfied I was, when I leaved the shop.. Now it's just like a routine for me to get a cake From Cake Shop for any kind of occasion.

I am very disappointed as they are just money grabbers. My younger brother went to the shop asking for a cake with a message. They said the message is too long and will have to buy a bigger one. When I saw the cake i knew that this could be done on a smaller sized one as I did the same message with a picture on a smaller sized cake. I had previously used Paul’s bakery for the picture one and they are also cheaper. They also have a king street branch but are closed for renovations. The Taste of the cake was good but the chocolate they used for the message tasted like it was over date. I will not be using or recommending it anymore. Paul’s bakery provides better service and are not greedy like cake box Kingstreet.
