Had my second baby here in February 2019 but this time a planned c section as I had complications with my first, both times I've been here the midwives and doctors have been great, felt really well cared for, this time I was quite nervous about having a c section but they were all fantastic and looked after me really well and put me to ease. Felt both me and baby were well looked after whilst in there care. Thanks to all the staff that assisted with my labour first time and my c section in February really good job, can't rate the labour ward enough in my experience

It took 17 hours for my mum to be seen by a consultant. She got moved from a&e to a ward just so they can show they dealt with a patient in a 4 hour timeframe, but in actual reality they hadn't. It’s beyond stupid how they can keep someone waiting that long when it’s not necessary at all. If you do fall ill, don’t fall ill on the weekend as their aren’t enough consultants to deal with patients. I’m only giving it 1 star goes to the nurses as they were brilliant. Can’t fault them, very caring.

Had to have two GP appointments and a referral to have hearing test at chemist, and had to wait 4 months to finally see an ENT consultant, not to mention driving around the car park for 40 minutes looking for a space and then having to park 10 minutes away outside someones house because i couldn't find a space. I then had to run to the hospital to make it just on time. When i went in, there was the consultant, a GP and a secretary. i felt most out of place, it was very awkward, i feel like a heart surgeon could have helped me out more, all i could pick up was that i was just wasting their time. The hospital is rubbish! don't go there.

Last Monday was sent from Dr to Ambulatory Care Ward 9. Charlotte Pickering was very understanding, caring and put my fears to rest. My Doctor thought may have a blood clot or DVT in my legs after surgery of hip replacement. I was given blood tests and sent for Ultrasound scan and all came back ok. Relief overwhelming and Charlotte deserves a medal for her considerate and caring attitude to my worries. I have to go back today for another scan just to confirm all settled. Many thanks again Margaret Pearson

A&E department, staff are really trying hard behind reception, but one member of staff (i presume assessment triage nurse) needs her attitude checking (long dark hair) - rude to patient support worker and totally uncaring re autism and sensory needs and causing a patient to have a mental health crisis, to the point they walked out of the department as they could not take it anymore. I understand staff are busy, and we were not a priority but to be told time and time again extra wait time, and other patients with similar minor injuries that arrived after us, seen before us and no understanding or caring or adjustments made to make whole experience easier for patient. She should be ashamed of herself.

My husband has just received treatment at the treatment centre, urology. He was absolutely overwhelmed with how caring and professional all of the staff were. In his words ‘they went above and beyond to make him comfortable and reassured’. We are both so grateful that we have such a fabulous hospital. He really can’t thank them enough for all of their care.

I have just returned home after undergoing an operation at Urology Dept. and felt I must convey my extreme admiration for every member of staff I came into contact with. All staff were professional , caring , sympathetic to my needs and at all times very friendly . Ward 19 staff deserve a special mention both days and night shifts . Thank you for service to the public .
