Not so good if you work here! Prospective candidates bear this first para in mind. Brunel has sadly fallen into the trap of being a business rather than a respected seat of education, favoring numbers rather than quality, mostly due to lack of Government funding, the class numbers are often ridiculously high. By there own rules one class should have had three technicians, but only had one. When questioned senior management said their is no budget for extra staff (but had money for an entire new building) I worked here for 5 months and was bullied over and over again by just one member of staff. Being a new member of staff i naturally turned to my management chain to sort this but ultimately they sided with the bully, why? well he successfully sued his previous employer for wrongful dismissal and they were scared of him. I actually feared for my safety as this member was erratic and often physically "loud" so i presented the managers with a very fair and reasonable compromise options and they rejected every one. I was injured here and was sacked whilst on certificated leave. On a side note the bullying has continued with another member of staff. Otherwise the other members of staff were great and hard working, often in difficult situations and without correct equipment. Mr Brunel would be ashamed of his name being associated with this place and is likely jumping right out of his grave to kick the managements teeth in!
