Lovely building, nice place and good atmosphere. Ordered the Sunday Roast and I can honestly say I wasn't impressed. To say that the place itself has a vibrant feel and look to it you would expect the food to be on point and come piping. The Sunday roast was well presented so looked really nice, however looks are sometimes deceiving and this was just that. We ordered the beef and I asked for it medium and my mrs who is pregnant asked for it well done. Both came out served half well done and half pink, how? I dont know but it did. Neither looked different if I'm honest, we got 2 roast potatoes, 2 small carrots 1 parsnip, small amount of red cabbage and a Yorkshire pudding. The beef was dry even when I managed to cover part of my food on my plate with the shot of gravy you got given with it, the roast potatoes had been double cooked imagining them to be nice and crispy and fluffy inside, instead I got reheated roast potatoes which were non crispy, chewy but fluffy inside. 2 decent sized pieces of beef again which were dry, clearly left on the hot plate for far too long and not left in water inside an oven covered up. Red cabbage was lovely to say the least as well as the Yorkshire pudding which was just about crispy and quite fluffy inside. Portions were very small just as I was enjoying the 2 carrots put out as well as the lovely parsnip that was about the size of my thumb only to discover that was it. For the price of 17.50 I think this is well over priced as I've had better in a Tony carvery and I've also paid less for a much better served Sunday Roast elsewhere. Drinks however look nice on the menu and I have heard that this is a good place to go to at night for drinks. Food I wouldn't. Overall the staff were lovely, couldn't do enough for you just a shame to let you down with the food.
