As someone who has moved around a lot I can say Brownlow has some of the best patient care (particularly mental health) and variety services I’ve ever experienced. The doctors are caring, knowledgeable and personal. Until recently my only grievance would be the somewhat unprofessionalism of some doctors on e-consult. Generally if someone is providing patient care and prescribing medication I would expect the individual to proof-read their response, and not for it to resemble a text sent on a drunken night out with friends. Personally, I find that a bit disconcerting. Saying that, perhaps what I find most disconcerting is the lack of system, accountability or contingency if something goes wrong. To sit in a doctors chair comes with a responsibility, authority and power, albeit warranted given the training a doctor is put through. In contrast, to sit in a patients chair comes with a vulnerability, and I have to say I’ve felt that vulnerability. While it could be argued that having mental ill-health and a trauma background makes this more reactive, I would argue that requires a more nurturing, gentle and understanding hand in patient care whatever dimension that takes, rather than fuelling and igniting the trauma. Generally going to see a doctor about trauma and anxiety, should not result in significantly more trauma and anxiety.

Your new website is terrible, I tried to order my repeat script today and spent 30 minutes trying to get the NHS app to function. This app is notorious for being difficult......you have to provide photo id for it and then upload video of yourself saying pin-codes!!! I doubt many elderly patients will manage it! Your old website with its Emis patient access was straightforward. This new site is really not a step in the right direction! I have no complaints about the standard of clinical care you provide, but accessing it is key!

I really like this doctor's it's always been fantastic but recently just one member of your reception staff have a really bad attitude towards same day access I went on for a same day access appointment around 9am in the morning I asked for an appointment to see a doctor or nurse she said all the appointment for that day have gone and if I wanted one I needed to come in at 7:30 I didn't even no you open that early plus a m have children to get ready and take to school so she sent me to student health while at student health I over heard the receptionist at student health make a same day access appointment for somebody for 10 am that day in brown low so it's quite obvious the receptionist lies to me also I though you could walk in up until 4 I click to been seen if I have this information wrong I would like to be informed.on the correct procedure thank you

Really unimpressed. I’ve been having issues regarding two NHS numbers and it was never sorted despite constant follow ups. Because of this issue, I am unable to access NHS services online or get access to my records. My vaccinations status is not reflected on my record and it’s all a big mess.
