I dropped in and asked for a GP appointment. The desk staff were very professional and responsive, dealt with me in a kind and timely manner. They took notes of my presenting complaint to send to the GP. They found me an appointment to see a GP the same day.

I cannot fault the medical staff but the management and administration provides a patchy service at best. The lack of accountability and the apparent inability to take responsibility for errors /oversight and shortcomings drives me to distraction a lot of the time. An overhaul of procedures is long overdue. Sorry.

They have always been very good with me, even at their busiest times.

Nobody is answering the phone. Called multiple times, each time I was waiting 9+ minutes. Eventually they disconnect the call. It was impossible for me to get help for over 4 months. I am very disappointed.

It never has free spaces for appointments.

Back in March during lockdown , I called Dunstan village group practice & they got Dr. Daniel Ooi to call back . I explained to him I’d found a golf ball sized lump under my arm however he was more focused on if I drank or smoked , which I do not , his response was give us a ring in a few weeks if it gets any bigger & I was left to deal with this situation on my own . The distress this has caused & affect it’s had on my mental health nobody should have to go through ! I’ve now been told Dr. Daniel Ooi was a locum doctor , therefore he was more interested in the fee rather than his patient which made me feel very neglected . I can’t even begin to imagine how many others have been treated this way. I had to take it upon myself to go & see a private doctor in Rodney street to be prescribed antibiotics at first as Dr . Daniel Ooi wasn’t interested in helping his patient however , the antibiotics didn’t work & I had to go through the private sector to take on a number of tests to find out what the growth under my arm was . Long before COVID-19 I have been unable to receive a consultation from Dunstan village group practice for around about 10 years it’s been over the phone conversations therefore I’m unable to say who my doctor is . This was the worst experience of my life & I hope nobody else has to endure what I went through , I understand due to COVID-19 things may be much more difficult however , this wasn’t the way to treat another human being.
