Today I went to the shop to see a shocking staff's behaviour. I went into the shop, found a nice top

1/ 5

Today I went to the shop to see a shocking staff's behaviour. I went into the shop, found a nice top, and asked one of the staff if I could use the fitting room. I found the top was very lovely. I made my mind up to purchase it, and went out of the fitting room. As soon as I came out of the room, one of the assistants, who kept ignoring me when I asked about fitting room, and forced me to find another assistant at the checkout, started talking to the other assistant (the 3rd person). "Look, there are people go into the fitting room, wear our top and hide their own in the bag, and come out. Watch out for it" I was startled by her(White middle-aged assistant) behaviour. Yes I am a foreigner, and am from Japan. However our country is boasting much lower crime rate than England. People are nice and calm, I have never seen anyone from my country steal things from a shop. Being in top 3 wealthiest country in the world, we don't have any reason to steal from from a foreign country. People believe in good behaviour. We believe if we do good things, more good things come along. No one is like a theft. It is so disgusting to know the white middle-aged assistant thought I was a thieve because of my colour of my skin. Also she assumed that I would not understand her English. Being in England for more than 20 years it is impossible not to catch English. It's so rude to assume a customer is a thieve because of how they look like, also even more rude to talk about it in front of them. I expect more training to them regarding diversity and how to behave in front of the customers.
