3/ 5

2 members of staff in store, gave different age restrictions on a teddy and book for ages, 1 member said 1yr + the other 4yrs upwards , so information not adequate and very confusing, staff should not say they think its for this age, they should find out, as if i had brought this teddy, my nephew who has turned 1yrs old could of choked on the teddy from teething, so member of staff was very wrong. Bad customer service.

An enhanced news vendor with a good selection if magazines and publications available for purchase.

4/ 5

An enhanced news vendor with a good selection if magazines and publications available for purchase. Good quality although restricted choice of art stationery. Staff were helpful and the layout was good. Choice of modern day publications available. An old fashioned retail experience.

I always like to go in there to get an agenda or notebook and browse their books section. I think they carry the weirdest books, I ended getting one on a pug! The gut at the counter was really nice and cheery. I'm never disappointed when I go in there especially since it's a smaller more local one, they're kinda used to the same faces. The only annoying thing is when the queue is long there's only 2 tills and only 1 is open all the time.

  • In Roman times, Newcastle – then called Pons Aelius – was a fort on Hadrian’s Wall, and during the Saxon period, it was known as Monk Chester on account of its many religious houses.
