First visit since change of management, from Wyevale to Dobbies. This change has not improved the cafe experience. Soup of the day- no idea what it was, nor what it was meant to be. Identifying it on the board may have given me a clue, eating it certainly didn't. Consistency thick and glutinous, like a cuppa soup made with insufficient water. Tasted of nothing, but did have a sort of peppery back taste which has stayed with me for the rest of the day- but not in a good way. Half baguette was slightly toasted, and was the best part of it all, but no butter provided. Croutons dry and hard, and 10 mins in the soup did not soften them. My companion had baked potato, which was not cooked in the middle. Staff at till seemed flustered and overworked. Serving staff were friendly and smiled, the only good part of the service. All in all, pretty disappointing. Excellent soup is neither difficult nor expensive to make, so why serve goo?

Neatly presented center with good selection of plants. The restaurant is a nice place to have something specially outside in summer however, it's a bit pricey. Overall the prices of items are higher than the previous franchise but neater than them. The items which are on offer or discount can be good bargain.

Great selection of plants. The dobbies club is a great idea. Who doesn't like two free drinks every month and 10% off plant purchases. Cafe is welcoming and a lovely selection of yummy cakes.

Fairly lack lister service and overpriced. Either this place is chronically understaffed or the staff which they do have do not receive adequate training. Generally speaking they are rude and look run down. I would recommend avoiding this cafe and going somewhere else. Some of the cakes served here are also sold a day or so old or they are left uncovered as they have a stale taste to them, ordered a cheese sandwich here and it came out smeared in cheap margarine and off brand pickle.

Excellent service from the lads at Dobbies today when I asked for something I could see on the website but couldn’t find in the store. They went into storage and dug one out for me which saved the day. Thank you!

A large range of plants and garden products including a few child-size hand tools and pet accessories. Nice cafe with outdoor and indoor seating. The fish tanks have gone and there's a Sainsbury's in its place.

Loyalty scheme is a con. I was told I would be given an opt-in or opt-out email but they never got in contact, instead they just keep charging me and when I try and make them stop they just bounce me around between phone lines for hours. I didn't even opt in!

I popped in for a bag of soil and decided to grab a delicious breakfast. Then I shopped for soil and decided to go for a delicious coffee and cake. Then I decided to shop for soil, but got distracted by the Christmas decorations. Then I decided to stay for a delicious lunch. After lunch I decided to shop for soil but got distracted by the lovely plants outside. After a while I got hungry to decided to have a delicious tea and cake. Then I decided to shop, but forgot what I came in for so drove home. Will go again tomorrow.
