5/ 5

If you after inclines (pretty much anywhere in Bristol), great city views and a historical landmark then look no further than Brandon Hill. Not a huge open space like other places around the centre, but it's large enough to take a brief stroll from the hustle and bustle of Park St. If you get a chance while it's not as busy, make your way up Cabot Tower, I will say as a tall guy it can feel a tad claustrophobic especially when others are making their way back down and you do the whole close quarters shuffle. Overall Brandon Hill is great if you're looking to step back into a bit of nature.

Superb couple of hours spent in the sunshine. Brandon Hill feeding copious amounts of nuts to the many squirrels in the grounds! A lovely play area to entertain kids from 3 to teens! Just a disappointment that the historic Cabot Tower itself is still closed to the public as the views from all 4 sides are spectacular. Soon as it's reopened, I will amend the rating to a 5* attraction. Especially as it's always been free to enjoy!

These gardens, the terraced ponds and the large, grassy areas provide a haven of tranquility in the midst of the city though getting to the top may be tricky for those less able to cope with the steep incline and descent. I wasn't bothered that the Cabot Tower was shut as you still get amazing views, even from halfway up the hill.
