In general found service good but its incredibly annoying that they say they have changed their phone number Camb 360006 changed to 324120 but the latter number never seems to answer, nor can I see an email address on the website. All I wanted was to order a spare lens ...

5/ 5

Had an eye health check and contact lens trail appointment here. Really impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the opticians. The examination process was very organized. It started with some basic information gathering and machine-based tests, then a series of eye health check and tests, followed by more specific tests relevant to using eye contact lens. All the staff are helpful and friendly. The general eye check optician Peter was very experienced and professional. He went through all the steps carefully and explained the results clearly. Michael - the contact lens expert - was equally professional and experienced. He's also very humorous and lively. He would explain everything when he did the examination. Besides understanding the purpose of the test, you also learn something new about anatomy, which was a pleasant bonus for geeks like me. The secret technique he developed made my first trial of contact lens as easy as shelling peas. The reward scheme they offer is very reasonable. Highly recommended. The only drawback is it is a bit difficult to book a slot so you have to make the reservation well ahead of time.

Actually had never noticed this small shop. But they provide excellent, friendly service - often very busy as the shop is a compact space but all equipment and facilities first rate. Peter Gammage who was my optometrist is one of the best I've known: professional and clear.

Hi, I want to share my experience that I had on Wednesday 5/5/21 in boots optician lion yard Cambridge. I was in so much pain and discomfort with my left eye, I arrived to the optician and I didn't even had an appointment. The lady at reception called Samantha was great, really nice, helpful and understanding . I saw an optician called Peter who was wonderful!!! The BEST optician that I have ever seen in my life! He safe my eye!!! I'm very grateful to this gentleman.

5/ 5

Very reluctant 5 stars as the Boots infrastructure lets these opticians down in a serious way. Sales software must be clunky as every enquiry / transaction is drawn out. Provision of good quality product is unreliable, I have on both purchases of oakleys (at £500 a pop) in the last three years received glasses without all the options available (and advertised in the shop) and been told Boots cant get the options. Why 5 stars.? so the staff are well trained, I trust the opticians and several of the front of shop team are excellent. I make a special mention of Jessica who has gone the extra mile to pushback through Boots to get the options I paid for
