I am a regular customer at B&M as it is one of my favourite stores. However, I was disappointed with today’s service. I wanted to purchase a pair of scissors and lighter but was asked for ID at the till. That’s understandable and I am aware employees have rules to follow. However when told that my husband is paying and he presented his ID, we were rudely told that both of us required ID. I think that’s absurd. How is this different from a mother shopping with her child and the child not presenting ID?

I do love B&M for a bargain and the selection of dried and tinned foods are great. The painting the decorating dept has a great selection but it isn't always the best value. A lot of the furniture won't last even with the best of care but the designs are so modern it's sometimes hard to resist. The toys are usually pricey but they are good quality. The staff are always really lovely and so helpful. I've always had a great time at B&M but I only go there for certain items.
