Bluebird Bakery york

What a lovely little bakery! I was dashing by when I saw one of my most-sought UK baked goods on days display in the window. It turned out to be their last lemon Eccles cake. I found it quite delicious: the outside crunchy with pastry and sugar, the inside packed with sultanas and fresh lemony flavor. If all their goodies are this delicious, wow.

Excellent small local bakery with a great selection of breads, cakes and food. All ingredients locally sourced where possible and freshly made. Different speciality breads made on different days, means it is well worth asking what else they do.

Wow!! The produce on sale here is amazing. Bought a Bengali roll and a roasted vegetable quiche but wish i would have bought more. The flavours were awesome but get there early as this place is so good it sells out quickly

Small artisan bakery with the best self made bread and amazing rich and tasty focaccia! We also tried the delicious cinnamon buns! My favourite bakery in town!

I've been living in York for just over 2 years and it's the only place I go to buy bread. Once you've tried it you will not buy a sliced, prepacked loaf again. I haven't tasted better anywhere else. Their pastries and cakes are lovely too.

The produce of the Bluebird bakery is outstanding - you can tell it is all made from scratch and of fantastic quality. The brownie and caramel slice are absolutely delicious and I can recommend for anyone! Located in York’s beautiful historic “Shambles”, this lovely authentic bakery fits in perfectly.

I've been waiting a long time for Bluebird to open their doors in Acomb! How blessed the area is now! The best bread, interior and team. Totally recommended, it's a cracker.

Do not even bother trying anywhere else in york for brownies, this place has the best I’ve ever tried consistently hands down!

Great little bakery near the famous Shambles in York where you will find a fantastic range of breads that might surprise one,, rolls, cakes, savoury pasties plus chocolate brownies etc. It is a quaint bakery shop that is in the ideal place. Friendly staff will explain all if required.
