Simple but comfortable motel rooms in the heart of Tweed Heads, this motel offers pet friendly rooms

4/ 5

Simple but comfortable motel rooms in the heart of Tweed Heads, this motel offers pet friendly rooms (a challenge for our first time) for those travelling with their fur buddies. Our room was fresh and clean with no lingering tell tale doggy odour. Not too far away is a doggy daycare (a service we never thought we’d use - never leave them in your car if you’re ducking into the local for lunch) if you’d like to spend a day venturing out to explore the natural beauty of the Tweed valley. Club Tweed across the road from the motel offers delicious meals to suit all budgets and tastes (including vegetarian options 👍😍) and is an ideal place to catch up with family and friends. The manager of the motel was very welcoming & nothing was a problem. For a longer stay a small fee is charged to freshen bed linen and a vacuum. The motel has an inviting pool which is scrupulously cleaned each day and a bbq area if you’d like a cook up. The only issue were guests who insist on starting up their vehicles and leave them running at 4:30am whilst packing, shutting/opening doors. C’mon guys, BE MINDFUL of other guests and leave QUIETLY. This motel is popular for a reason and I wish them every success in the future.

I have booked this accommodation through Booking .com will I stay here or recommend these premises to anyone in the future /definitely" NOT". I have booked a superior family room at this Motel in the pictures advertised I have access to a kitchenette and division between beds . We were provided with something completely different. We are in a middle of a pandemic and instead of having a kitchen sink as it was advertised all I had was a bathroom sink where I was forced to wash our drinking cups /cutlery and dishes where everyone actually brush their teeth for 6 nights. I approached the owner and kindly asked to address this matter all I was told was : (place a complaint with Booking.com) , which I have and I was extremely disappointed too as they report being the owners responsibility for the advertisement . . I was extremely disappointed / this was a horrible family experience we had. I may have booked through a third party but at the end of the day Its was the owners business and no action was taken nor effort was made to resolve this situation. we were there for 6 nights and an effort could have been made to allocate us with the room we have originally booked , we were 3 adults ,2 children and 2 dogs and it was the Easter weekend, 12h away from home with no other option but drive back to Sydney or stay at the motel. Being a health care worker I will be approaching Health and Safety Australia as this amenities ( having to wash our cups in a bathroom sink in a middle of a pandemic are definitely not complying with Australian standards / however advertising the room I was booked in with a mini kitchen to do so but not providing it to the customers. Please consider twice before booking through Booking .com as they take no responsibility for false advertising , and definitely consider if you wish to have this experience with your family in a middle of a pandemic at this motel in the near future. Stayed in blue pelican motel on 18/04 , we were trying to take a shower at 8pm , but there is no hot water. Rang the manager ,he just told us the hot water has run out. No solution for that. We couldn’t take a shower that night. Not very nice, I don’t recommend people come here to stay.
