A really great place. A historical part of Oxford and definitely worth a visit if you are interested in books. There are sections for children’s books, as well as non-fiction and poetry. A vast selection of books in general, and you could spend hours browsing them all. There is also a music shop attached to the bookshop, selling instruments, sheet music and records. Upstairs there is a café with great food, and a view of the Sheldonian Theatre.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Ordered online, and they didn't bother to send the book until after I emailed asking why it was taking so long. I honestly assumed it had been dispatched. Customer service was appalling. They told me it would be dispatched within 24 hours and thanks for my patience. I now have to wait 2-4 days for delivery. That's around 10 days since ordering. I assume it's coming by steamboat.

The bookshop was awesome and it was in the most historical place in Oxford. It reminded me of the magic city of Harry potter. Goods and all books seemed to be awesome. I would recommend you to visit here if you are interested in finding old and historical bookshop! ☺

The basement level is definitely somewhere you would like to visit. It’s like a massive data base for the security agency. Very well resourced and with great assistance by members of staff. The student price match worked for me and the quality of books are really good. Would recommend for critical reading collections.

The physical shop may be impressive, but the online service is truly appalling, indeed in this respect it is one of the worst companies the reviewer has ever dealt with. The packaging used is often totally inadequate, resulting in damage to no less than 10 books purchased over a period of about a month. Note that there is no telephone support at weekends and the automated chat assistant is next to useless so don't waste time using it!!
