Excellent service and staff, 25 year old toaster repaired easily and quickly. Thought it was done for, went there for their advice and told to bring it in as it could be repaired. A good place to go for any advice on electrical products!!

Chris at Blackwell and Denton provide excellent service and quality at realistic prices. Whilst specialising in the top brands such as Miele, they can get almost anything to suit your needs. Whilst you might be tempted by the glitz and apparent value of the big boys such as Curry's, this company provides a far superior service at prices more than comparable, with a brilliant delivery service.

These guys are so helpful and knowledgeable! Every time I have had a problem they have helped me out, even when its me that has made a mistake. One time even though I ordered the wrong part (my fault), and their policy is clearly displayed on the counter top, they were still willing to give me a credit note. Great prices and great service. Best place in York for home appliance stuff.

I had a problem with a dishwasher a day or two ago. After contacting this company they explained that they were really busy in the run up to Christmas, and it might be a while before they could call. This is a level of honesty that I don’t usually get from some other traders, IE plumbers, electricians etc, some of whom don't even return my calls, or they arrange appointments and don't turn up! Anyway, Blackwell & Denton (I think he was called Chris?) told me they would do their best to fit me in as soon as possible. I didn't have to wait long and I didn’t have to ring back! They called me, made arrangements to call at my house to check what needed doing and to see if it could be fixed there and then. When the came, they did fix it there and then! The level of customer service, their professionalism, and dedication went way beyond what I’m used to at the moment. It’s an 'old school’ approach that seems rare these days and I can’t recommend this company highly enough. I didn't even purchase the dishwasher from Blackwell & Denton. I will not make this mistake again. I only put reviews on Google when I’ve had an excellent experience. This is one to add to that list. Use this company, I’m confident you won’t regret it.

Misleading product on website, have photo of item but not available anymore, so are sending cheap alternative, which was in small print in the description, rang to cancel but they say it had already been posted. Not helpful at all, need to work on their customer services. Will be returning item to get refund, which I will have to pay for. * WOULD NOT RECOMMEND *

First class excellent service, very helpful got the spares I ordered delivered to my home next day and they were GENUINE PARTS!. All working fine now job done!! I recommend Blackwell & Denton and these guys to everyone!! thank you and keep up the good work

Sadly I'm not impressed, and I really wanted to be. I wanted to use a local outlet as a supplier and repairer for my machines. In May I popped in and asked if they had/could get parts for my SEBO. I left the store with the parts. Great! Except when I got home I found they were totally wrong. I returned and was told by another chap that all the X7s were different and he needed the serial number. Thankfully I had it. I walked out with a replacement part and another on order which might take a while because it was difficult getting the parts over from Germany due to Brexit. Skip forward to July and fed up of waiting I ring SEBO UK and ask why it's difficult getting parts over from Germany. They tell me it isn't and they have an ample supply & there's no issues getting them into the UK! I ordered what I needed and received it in the post the next day! He also told me that a serial number wasn't required because all X7s are the same! Yesterday I pop back into the shop to ask what the situation is with my order and I get told the same Brexit-delay story. I explain what I've written above and he says he doesn't know why SEBO are telling him they can't get them. Frankly I don't know what to believe... That SEBO are telling me one thing and these guys another!? It doesn't make any sense. Needless to say, I have no confidence in B&D.

Excellent customer service- and very responsive to phone calls regarding a repair I needed doing. Would highly recommend
