We had the family room for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids aged 7 and 11). This was perfect for us, lots of space. The carpet in our bedroom could however do with a deep clean or maybe changing. The building is lovely, all staff were very nice and breakfast is excellent. The location is practical for Edinburgh town centre as it is within walking distance or a short bus ride but rather quiet. A lot of restaurants and independent shops within a 10 minutes walking distance.

Nice homely atmosphere to this hotel. food always a good standard also rooms of a good standard and "yes the beds are very comfortable". close to center of town but very quiet at night. Stayed here several times throughout the years and always one of my first choices for an Edinburgh stay.

Have stayed in this hotel several times as my son lives close by. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and breakfast is excellent. The staff can get overwhelmed during a busy period, but are nevertheless charming and helpful.

My mother is disabled so i was pleased to see there was easy access into the hotel and to our room in a wheelchair. Rooms were newly refurbished and lovely. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. Good central location- near to everything.

Really nice hotel. Staff really helpful. Would recommend a room away from front of hotel due to passing traffic. Was very hot so the windows were open. Traffic is fairly constant. Breakfast was spot on with good variety. Something for every kind of taste. Wee men loved that they could have coco pops and then a fry up... happy days 😀. Would recommend a stay. Fairly central, with most things walkable of fit for it.

The hotel and staff were brilliant, ideal location the big down fall is the lack of car parking, obviously the hotel can not increase the amount of spaces they have due to space but it is certainly an issue, I could not get a space on arrival and be aware that all the on street parking is pay and display ( limited to two hours) or permit holders only. You can park on the street after a certain time but would have to move or pay by 8am the next day, if you are on a weekend stay you are able to park nearby without restriction after 5.30 pm. Not generally one to moan but I specifically wanted on-site parking.

Booked an executive room at £100pn for 3 nights. Room definitely large enough but tired and needs the refurbishment which is in the process of happening. Always felt a bit gloomy inside irrespective of the time of day and had to have the lights on most of the time. Location is good and Bruntsfield itself is great for coffee shops, eateries and independent shops and the large park opposite. Walked into the city centre most days and caught the no 16 bus back to the hotel. Would stay here again once the refurbishment is finished.

Stayed three nights. Found hotel to be Covid secure. Good location within a walkable distance to city centre either through the parks or via street. Excellent service from ALL staff. Food quality very good. Quite rooms allowing a good sleep. Very comfortable bed. One slight downside is the limited parking if you are driving. If we ever return to Edinburgh would happily stay here again.
