Tried to change small amount of money from cash to coins at your Barclays branch 86 Queens Road, after 15 min of queuing I've been told by older gentleman behind the counter that he needs to know the reason and purpose of use for the coins (do I need to confess what I spend my money for in front of 10 people in a queue??) and that I'm breaking T&C of my account. My understanding was that banks are to provide money services to its customers but apparently older gentleman's vision was different. Due to level of service I decided to cancel the transaction. Finalised it at Lloyds branch just few doors down - quickly, no question asked, super nice service. I'll be closing my personal & saving accounts with Barclays and moving to Lloyds. 1/10

It’s not the fault of the staff here but I’ve been shocked to learn that Barclays is the biggest fossil fuel banker in Europe. Barclays is funding environmental destruction and climate change. A good reason to move your bank account to a more ethical provider.

Staff usually very pleasant although it can take a long time to get served. Went to the bank today to find they are now shutting two hours earlier that usual and only open on 5 days instead of 6 in the week. That leaves me exactly one hour in the week I can now go to the bank with work commitments. No warning of change of business hours. Just a notice on the door stating reduced hours as of 13/10/20 so wasted journey to the bank this afternoon.

As a shareholder, I am extremely concerned that Barclays is the biggest investor in fossil fuels in Europe at a time when the world is already experiencing the damaging effects of climate change, and this crisis is escalating. This surely must prompt customers to reconsider banking with Barclays
