Went for the first time since it reopened after lockdown. I was nervous at first but the staff were excellent and friendly and answered all questions to put me at ease. The place is spotless with measures in place which members and staff seem to be following, needless to say the place is spotless and it looks like they are cleaning none stop. Well done Chester-le-Street 😁😷👍

Good facilities and very welcoming staff. All areas feel and look spotlessly clean, very important over the last couple of years. Great opening hours, starting at 0600hrs on a weekday, my preferred time. Ways get the machine I need in the gym, or the lane in the pool. Sauna and steam room are tremendous and all that's missing is an ice plunge pool.

Great gym - although I only do cardio and spinning classes - great for winter which seems less appealing for outdoor running as I get ever older! I have the advantage of a great deal through work.

As a new member at Chester le Street Bannatyne Gym I witnessed someone spitting in the jacuzzi as they walked past. I challenged the person and reported this and nothing was said to the person. I cancelled my membership as this was obviously acceptable behaviour for Bannatyne staff.

I was there at the pool earlier than normal this morning and it was busy. No problem today, it was more a social visit than a workout. Love it. Very friendly, always someone to chat to if you don't want to work hard. Suits me fine. I can do my fifty lengths on most visits. 😊
