I think that Albany Surgery is one of the best surgeries in Cardiff. The receptionists are very helpful, polite, friendly and do a great job. The Doctors are all highly experienced with a great bed side manner. They make sure that their patients feel comfortable talking to them. That's definitely a bonus. I have had calls from the surgery hours after they have closed. That just shows how dedicated they are to their patients. Also not forgetting the nurse's. They are also very experienced and it's always a pleasure talking to them. I personally believe that Albany Surgery deserve good reviews and 5 stars. Thank you Albany Surgery. Jan Mullen

Great doctors but if you can't see on what is the use? Even if you are very ill, which is my case today, you have to go there very early in the morning and queue, which led me not to sleep at all. Also once you book the appointment you have to walk home again and go back later in the day, just too much for someone who is not well! I have needed to see a doctor more often and don't because the stress of booking an appointment is too much for me. And if you phone you often have to be on the phone for over one hour only to hear that all the appointments are gone (even for one week late), and you have to start again sometimes for days on end. Is this the way to treat people who badly need help? But some surgeries are even worse and you can't get an appointment sooner than two weeks later. They want to put people off booking appointments but they forget that no one goes to the doctor for fun, they go to the doctor usually because they are suffering and without the needed help the condition will get even worse, which is my case! First you could get a phone appointment on the day, a very short one, which I used even in cases a doctor really needed to see me. Now it takes days to get one! So much money squandered and no way to be seen by a doctor when you need one!

Doctors are very good. Unfortunately it’s next to impossible to see one. The new system seems to be better for emergencies but for general its net to impossible. I’ve been #4 on the waiting line for litterally 30 minutes now after calling 50 times. If it’s one person whose still on the line; they need another person on the phones or they’ve just left the phones. Had to see a private doctor recently as could not get an appointment.

If you want to book an appointment you are requested to call between 8:00 and 8:30am but they never pick up the phone and the line is extremely busy. You can't even book an appointment for another day it has to be for the same day if you get lucky enough and they pick up the phone. I had the need to visit my gp 3 times this year and never got an appointment booked. Also when they answer the phone they act as they can't hear you and end up hanging up. So rude.. They need to hire other staff and I need to find another surgery. what a disappointment..!

Just go to another one, it's worth traveling, organisation is awful, doctors are friendly and I don't have anything bad to say against them but if they say "pick something up today, it will be ready by the end of the day" etc It will be a headache to try and coax them to follow through on their word, things seem to go missing, get misplaced, and staff will happily mutter about you asking reasonable requests as though you've been verbally abusing them. (Not as under their breath as they might think) I get the feeling that the unreasonable actions of a few amount to a generalised disdain for the patients as a whole. It shouldn't feel like us Vs them when you visit your GP. I understand they have a hard job to do in trying times but the chip on their shoulder needs attention.

If there is a system of Minus review, I would happily do that. Staff is really rude and will treat you like a dirt. You don't get through easily to the reception and by the time you reach their the receptionist will treat you like you as a beggar or something. I have chosen this surgery because it is near by my home, but I think now its time to change the same. Will not recommend at all.
