Ackerman Music is the most comprehensive, long standing music shop around, with the more knowledgable staff. As a brass teacher I always recommend my students visit here as I know they will be well advised, and will come away with what they need at a fair price. I shop here not just for brass accessories but also for sheet music (there is a huge selection) and percussion and other supplies. The repair service is excellent too and I use Jim for my own professional instruments, as well as my students' ones. Anything you need you will find here, to be highly recommended.

Having visited both shops in Brighton and Hove I was mighty impressed with the friendly and knowledgeable staff members who assisted me with a purchase for my daughter. Great products that are well priced. Cant recommend enough.

Love this music shop. They're very helpful. Offer lots of services like instrument hire & servicing. I hired a violin for £8 a month! Some things seem a little expensive compared to online but it's a nice experience to look at things in person and see the music etc. before you buy it

Amazing shop, very spacious and well stocked with a variety of sheet music, instruments and accessories. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and even offered to order in some music books for us when we asked about their range of bass guitar books. Came away with some great low price tin whistles and some piano books. Will definitely be coming back!
