My favourite place to ear out or just head out for a casual drink. Great food, great interior, great service! By far the most upmarket bar in Hove and offers a luxurious feel.

I enjoy visiting Third Avenue in the centre of Hove for espresso and light bites. It's stylish and has a nice atmosphere. In good weather I sit outside the front and people watch – there’s always a lot of interesting people walking along Church Road. I've also had business meetings on the covered veranda, which is a good place to sit if you want to be outside when the weather’s unfavourable. The staff are really lovely, and I always enjoy the coffee and food. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is truly awful. It has a wonderful setting and used to be so good.Food not turning up, staff not trained and the management do not care. It could be so good, it’s such a shame. Visited last week and for the last time.

We had a really lovely meal at Third Avenue. Food was delicious and staff was extra accommodating. Menu was varied and reasonably priced (increasingly rare these days). All waiters were incredibly pleasant and kept going out of their way to offer us a wonderful evening. Well done, Third Avenue Team, wish you much success!

This place was a complete shambles. Arrived at 12:30pm and given breakfast menus (which said breakfast served until 12pm). But seemed that was going to be the only option unless we wanted to wait until 1pm for roasts. Ordered a bucks fizz, but there was no barman so apparently this was not possible. Ordered a glass of wine but this too seemed a problem with no barman. Ordered from the juice menu but these were all unavailable because the machine was broken. Eventually managed to find a drink that was available (Lime & Soda, £3 each!!) and opportunistically managed to get a glass of wine when there was a different guy behind the bar making those. Food was actually pretty decent, steak perhaps a bit too chewy. Some of the order was forgotten so had to be sent back to the kitchen for some smoked salmon Service in general was really slow and inattentive, and went to pay with Amex which of course was not accepted! Restaurant itself is beautiful, great decor, but based on this experience we won't be rushing back.

Nice ambience, coffee was expensive. Didn't have everything on the menu. The lemon meringue tart was nice but lacked a certain lemony zest. Staff were solicitous and responsive.
