5/ 5

I went into wave with an old ring with the plan to remove the diamonds and reset them into something a bit more modern as an engagement ring. Paul was very accommodating and helped hugely in turning the ring from an idea into reality. He was very knowledgeable and patient with my lack of knowledge about jewellery.. We brought it back to be resized which was all seamless and only took a couple of days. We would highly recommend and look forward to coming back for our wedding rings!

I entered the show to find a present for my boyfriend. We requested the style that we were looking for and he showed us a brochure. Fine. He asked how much our budget was and we told him. He snapped the brochure shut with a sneer and told us to go to H SAMUEL or Argos. Fine, we can’t afford his gorgeously terribly dated displayed shop but talk to people like they are human and DO NOT make people feel bad about the budget they have for a present for their loved one. I will remind you of a classic Absolutely Fabulous quote: ‘You only work in a shop, you can drop the attitude’

Thank you to Paul and colleagues for the first class service over recent years. My rings are simply beautiful! It has been a pleasure to deal with such knowledgeable and friendly individuals. Highly recommend and have done so to many family and friends. Wishing you and your team good health throughout these worrying times.

5/ 5

i had 3 rings that had been handed down to me for my 30th birthday and wanted them redesigning. Paul and Rachel were AMAZING! especially when i kept changing my mind during the designing process. Even during COVID they kept in touch, and made sure that the rings were done in time for my birthday. The rings are beautiful, so delicate and just what i wanted. I cant thank them enough and will defiantly recommend them if you want anything doing. The workman ship is beyond great and know they will last the next 30 years until i hand them down to my children. Thank you Wave!

Awful little man with borderline personality disorder! A brief history of my experience with Paul He

1/ 5

Awful little man with borderline personality disorder! A brief history of my experience with Paul Henderson. 1. I asked him to send a watch away for repair in November last year. 2. On 25th June I was in Manchester and wanted to speak to him regarding the service of another of my watches. I couldn't see him as the shop was all locked up between approx 1130am and 2pm. I tried to call the shop and there was no answer either from the Manchester branch or the Kendal branch. 3. I left a review expressing my disappointment and Mr Henderson gave me a call. This was the point where I began to realise what I was dealing with. He said he was on the toilet! When I mentioned that I had noted that the shop was closed at 11:30 and at 2pm he said that he must have been out buying supplies. 4. My watch was finally ready for collection according to an email I received on 7th August. I popped into the shop this morning (8th August) and although the sign on the door states the opening hours as 11-4, the shop was closed at 11:15am when I arrived. I subsequently tried calling the shop and there was no answer. I then called the Kendal shop and they were very apologetic and called him on his mobile. They said he was on his way and should be there by 11:30am. I went for a coffee and returned at 1130am and he was in the shop. He opened the door for me and I sarcastically asked if he had been on the toilet again. He didn't respond to this but it was clear to me from his body language that this comment irked him. When I then asked why he was late he arrogantly replied that he had a lie in and went to the gym. Mr Henderson then proceeded to accuse me of being some kind of keyboard warrior who only leaves bad reviews. He said he had done some 'investigating' into me and my review didn't bother him. Well, Mr Henderson, I hate to stoop to your level but I also conducted some research into you. It appears that virtually every negative review of your business is based on how badly you treated your paying customers. As I said to you earlier, if your heart isn't in it anymore, maybe you could employ someone to open up the shop while you 'have a lie in and go to the gym'. Mr Henderson is also not very bright as he tends to contradict himself. When I suggested he was lazy he stated he had been in the Kendal shop at 730am that morning before travelling to Manchester. So what happened to the lie in and gym session? I suspect that the Manchester shop isn't making enough money to justify hiring someone and it is now in the hands of someone so up his own backside that he will inevitably drive the business into the ground. As I know he will read this I have some advice for him. Mr Henderson, you may think you are Richard Branson, but the reality is that you are a (not very good) shopkeeper with an inability to accept criticism. Companies House records indicate that your business went into administration in 2014 and was dissolved in June 2016. I strongly suspect that your attitude would surely have been a huge factor in that. EDIT DECEMBER 2020: Mr Henderson has now closed down. Well I hate to say I told you so but I did warn you about the way you treat your customers. Or maybe you are in the gym again?
